Willow Planting!
We are excited to be planting the first round of willow on The Viking Farm. We obtained our willow from the amazing Sandra Kehoe of Willowbrook Basket Farm in New York. Sandra is a renowned basket weaver and we hope to have her to the farmstead someday soon as a guest teacher so be watching for that offering. You can check out her work on her website at willowbrookbasketfarm.com. As far as our willow planting goes, we started with three kinds of willow including Green Edna and Mt. Aso, and one simply called #187. We are super excited to propagate them and use them in many different ways around the Bákurholt Bær.
