This is where the new timber frame workshop will sit. Next step is to bring some of those retaining wall blocks over and get those in place. Then we will be digging and pouring concrete pillars for the deck to set on. Then it's go time!

Okay, get ready and start thinking of names! Our second naming contest is getting ready to start and, this time, there are two babies to name! As you know, our ewe Astrid had two beautiful baby girls this spring. They are both doing great and growing like weeds, but we are tired of simply calling them 'baby'. We thought we'd post this picture here so those of you who haven't met them in person yet can get a good look. The ewe on the left (with horns) is what is called a Moorit witch basically means brown. (On a side note, a common misconception is that only males have horns. This is obviously not true as seen here and of course you know that Oona also has horns. We really like the curve of this bench slab. We've got three, two and a half inch thick curved bench tops like this to place in strategic places along one of the walking trails on the Bákurholt Bær property. These three slabs are from a Shagbark Hickory that needed to come down to excavate where the woodworking shop will be built.

To continue cleaning up the hurricane Helene damage, we've started building a dead hedge with all of the wood that is not salvageable as well as what was the tree canopy material. This is going to be a huge project, but it feels good to have it started. Perhaps we will have a dead hedge work day soon so we can see some of you!
I can't wait to actually have names for these cuties!
